Born: December, 1719 in Dartmouth, Bristol County, Mass. Died: April 3, 1784 in Union Vale, Dutchess County, NY. His father was William Sherman His mother was Susannah Allen He was married to Deborah Briggs in Little Compton, Newport County, Rhode Island. Michael and Deborah had five children, all born in Dartmouth, MA: Job Sherman born -about- 1741 (had children) Jedediah Sherman born Mar. 26, 1745 (no children) Briggs Sherman born -about- 1747 (no children) Susanna Sherman born -about- 1749 (no children) Elizabeth Sherman born -about- 1751 (no children) Michael Sherman served as a private in Captain Robert Earl's Dartmouth County regiment, and/or in Colonel Joshiah (Josiah) Whitney's regiment.
