Born: About 1772, in Holland (later part of The Netherlands) Died: date unknown; probably in Holland His father was Unknown. His mother was Unknown. His birth year is only a guess; we don't know when he was born, so I used the birth year of wife (see below) until I know otherwise. He changed his name from "Barhyte" to "Burhyte", probably when he emigrated to America; either that, or his name was always "Burhyte", but it was mis-spelled on some early records. Research continues. He married Catleyntie Pulver, who was born about March 18, 1772. She later changed her name to "Caroline", also probably when she emigrated to America. Johannes and Catleyntie has these children together: 1792 Jacomyntie Burhyte (possibly known as "Kate") 1794 Maria Burhyte (possibly known as "Cornelia") 1796 Tunis I.
