1846 Alexander Perry Asbury

Born: Dec. 1, 1846 probably in Kentucky Died: About Jan. 28, 1920 at Eagle, Idaho (near Boise). He was buried at Farmersburg, Sullivan County, Indiana. He was buried on Monday, Feb. 2, 1920. He died in Eagle, Idaho while visiting his daughter Eva there. After his death, his son Joseph Lester Asbury came from Spokane, Washington to accompany his body from Idaho back to Indiana, where he lived. Eagle is near Boise, Idaho. His father was George W. Asbury. His mother was Sarah Jane Hughbanks. He was married in 1868 to Almira Beecher They had ten children together: 1869 Eva Asbury (died 1950) 1871 Maude Asbury (died 1926) 1875 Ida Asbury 1875 George Fred Asbury (died 1938) 1877 Bertha Asbury 1880 Arthur Perry Asbury 1882 Sarah Jane Asbury (died 1947) known as "Jen" 1885 Charles Emery Asbury (died 1951) 1887 Joseph Lester Asbury (died 1960) 1889 Raymond Asbury (died 1906) Almira Beecher died about 1916 or 1917. Based on the account of the death of Alexander's daughter-in-law, Vervian Ona Waite, who was married to his son Joseph Lester Asbury, we now know that Alexander survived Almira by about three years, dying in Jan. 1920.
