His mother was Unknown.


He was married to "Jennie", no other information available about her
at this time.  Possible connection to 1871 Jennie White...?  Or, he
could have been married to 1883 Jennie A. (Dutcher); research continues.

He had at least two children, probably with his wife "Jennie", but
that is not known for certain:

Here is a transcription of the newspaper account of his death:

Lewis S. Dutcher, 80-year-old resident of Coventry, Chenango County, NY
died at his home on Saturday night, after a long illness.  Mr. Dutcher
was born in Coventry, August 25, 1856 and lived there all his life.  He
was a charter member of the Coventry Grange, a Past Master, and a member
of the present Executive Committee.  He was one of the oldest and most
respected citizens of Coventry.  Funeral services were held at the
Harry R. Rogers Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 19 (1937) at 2:00 PM.
Rev. J.M. Coleman of the M.E. Church of Greene officiated.  Burial was
made in Sylvan Lawn Cemetery in Greene, Chenango County, NY.  Mr. Dutcher
is survived by his wife, Jennie Dutcher, a daughter, Mrs. Edwin Robinson,
a son Henry Dutcher, and two grandchildren.  He died Jan. 16, 1937.
