1895 Minor Howard Livingston

Born: Apr. 12, 1895 at Windsor, Broome County, NY

Died: Oct. 15, 1971 at Montrose, Susquehanna County, PA

He is buried at Lanesboro Cemetery, Lanesboro, Susquehanna Co., PA.

His father was 1857 Myron James Livingston.

His mother was 1866 Caroline Lucretia Burhyte.

He was married Oct. 25, 1916 to 1897 Ada Teale, place unknown. She was
born in 1897 and died in 1927, age 30. Minor and Ada had two children:

  1917 Ruth Livingston b. Oct. 3, 1917
  1920 Inez Livingston b. Jul. 31, 1920

After Ada's death, Minor was married to 1908 Elizabeth Hallstead,
on Apr. 3, 1931; place of marriage unknown, but probably Binghamton, NY.

Minor and Elizabeth had at least one child together:

1933 James Henry "Hank" Livingston (he died in 1979)

It is not known for certain if Minor is shown in the family photo
above; the photo seems to be from about 1909 or 1910, and a piece
of it was cut out by someone, for reasons uknown. I believe that
Minor is missing from this photo, but that may be wrong.

Minor is shown in this photo of his siblings, taken in 1950,
probably in Harpursville, NY or Colesville, NY. Minor is the man
standing at back, in front of the doorway, with his head tilted
to one side. He would be 55 years old in this photo.

Here is a link to a 1918 reunion photo, showing many members
of the Livingston, Burhyte and other families. Minor may also
be shown here; we don't know. If he is, he is likely one of the
two men at far left in the back row.

Minor was a (junior) partner with this brother Forrest Livingston in
the Binghamton Printing Company. In family photos, he is usually
seen standing near Forrest, and in later years, with his head tilted
to one side, as though he had had polio or a stroke - but perhaps
this was simply a personal tic of his, we don't know.
