1896 George McKinley Livingston

Born: Nov. 21, 1896 at Windsor, Broome County, NY

Died: Sep. 2, 1990 at Binghamton, Broome County, NY (age 93).

Buried: Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City, Broome County, NY

His father was 1857 Myron James Livingston.

His mother was 1866 Caroline Lucretia Burhyte.

His middle name is most likely in tribute to U.S. President McKinley.

He was married June 2, 1923 to Mabel L. Bullock, probably in
Broome County, NY. They had one child together:

  1926 Barbara Rose Livingston.

In the photo upper right, George is shown in the 1970's with
his niece, 1925 Dora Belle Brown.

In the photo below right, I am fairly certain that George is
the teenager standing at right front, next to Eva and in
front of Forrest.

George's 1942 military registration card shows that he was working
for the Endicott-Johnson Company at their "Scout Factory" located
on Lester Avenue in Johnson City, NY. He was then residing at
23 Fifth Street in Johnson City. He was 45 years of age then.

Information from Robert N. Livingston Jr. and Peggy Brewster

Here is a 1949 Photo of a Livingston/Burhyte
reunion, probably in Colesville, NY; I believe that George is the
man near the center, to the left of the man wearing jacket and tie,
and that the woman behind him, with her hand on his shoulder, is his
wife Mabel Bullock Livingston. But, that is not certain, and given
that the man in jacket and tie looks very similar to the man with
only a white shirt and tie, and that both are standing near to the
brothers Austin and Minor, either could be George, or Elwyn.

Here is a 1950 Photo of most of the surviving children
of Myron and Lucretia; we are not sure but think that George is
the man partially visible at far right.

The grave marker shows that George, Mabel and daughter Barbara
were all buried side-by-side under the same marker.
