His father was 1876 Elmer James Pulis.

His mother was 1879 Huldah Marie Johnson.

He was married in 1937 to 1912 Margaret Elizabeth Gozzard,
who went by the name of "Bessie".

They apparently had these children together:

1938 Dwight Pulis born in Wilsall, Park County, Montana

In 1940 Ivan was living in Wilsall, Park County, Montana, probably
on the family ranch there, owned by his father, Elmer.

Ivan became a Christian minister, specific religion unknown at
this time; he was pastor at the Wilsall Community Church.

Ivan is shown at left in the back row in the family photo above.
This photo was taken about 1940 at Grigsby's Studio, Livingston, MT.

His Selective Service registration card states that he stood 5'8"
and weighed 147 pounds in 1940, age 32 years, when he registered.
He had light brown hair and blue eyes.

Ivan is mentioned in this newspaper article which was rendered by OCR
and is very difficult to read. The link is to a transcription
I made from the OCR results.
