1909 Lewis Myron Livingston

Born: Dec. 2, 1909 probably at Windsor, Broome County, NY

Died: Dec. 29, 1998 at Fulton, Fulton County, KY at age 89

His father was 1887 Forrest Myron Livingston.

His mother was 1890 Viola Amelia Doolittle.

The 1934 city directory for Binghamton, NY shows Lewis working
as a "compositor" (typesetter) at Vail-Ballou, and residing at
7 Clarke Street - the same address as his parents and his sister,
1914 Helen Irene Livingston.

Interestingly, Forrest and his brother Minor owned and operated the
Livingston Printing Co. at 78 Wall Street, which may have been a
competitor of Vail-Ballou, the employer of (Forrest's son) Lewis.

In 1934 Forrest would have been 47 years old, and Lewis 25 years old.

Lewis was married to 1910 Pearle Freed, date and place unknown.

Lewis and Pearle had at least one child together:

  1939 Donald L. Livingston.

Also there may have been another son, not yet confirmed:

  ____ Richard Thomas Livingston

In 1952, Lewis and Pearle were living in Niagara Falls, Niagara, NY.

His death on Dec. 31, 1998 occurred in Fulton, Kentucky or else in
South Fulton, Tennessee, and was reported in "The Commercial Appeal"
newspaper of Memphis, Tenn. His residence was reported to be in
Niagara Falls, NY.

As Lewis had a son Donald living at 102 Wild Cherry Lane in South Fulton,
TN, which is just across the state line from Fulton, Kentucky, we can safely
assume that Lewis was there visiting his family at the time of his death.

Here is a link to a 1918 reunion photo, showing many members of the
Livingston, Burhyte and other families. Lewis would have been
about nine years old at the time, and we believe that his parents are
shown in this photo, so Lewis is almost certainly shown here.
I believe he is 3rd from the left in the second row, the boy with
unruly blonde hair and a white tie.

Other names associated with Lewis from census records include:

Jetta Speight Livingston (probably a daughter-in-law)

  Ophelia Lockhart (step-daughter)

  Donald Mac Speight (step-son)
