HOME SEARCH. 1910 Milton Elmer Pulis Born: Mar. 22, 1910 at Selby, Walworth County, South Dakota Died: Dec. 14, 1977 at Youngtown, Maricopa County, Arizona, age 67 Burial: Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery, Phoenix, Maricopa County, AZ Plot: Memory Mausoleum, Sanctuary of Peace, Crypt AA-6 Memorial ID: 193508466 His father was 1876 Elmer James Pulis. His mother was 1879 Huldah Marie Johnson. His Selective Service registration card states that he stood 5'6" and weighed 155 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He was age 30 when he registered in 1940. He was married in 1951 to 1910 Verna Marie Pepper. They had no children that we know of. I have no information about Verna at this time, however in Montana state survey records (see link below) it is shown that a neighbor of the Pulis family in Wilsall had "James Pepper" as the owner of land adjacent or near to the Pulis farm, so it seems very likely that Verna was his daughter. Elmer and Milton Pulis and James Pepper are named in this collection of 1951 survey field notes. I think Milton is at right of the back row in the photo at right. The photo was taken about 1940 at Grigsby's Studio, Livingston, MT. The 1940 census for Wilsall, Park County, Montana lists: Elmer J. Pulis age 64, Head of Household Huldah age 61, wife Ivan T. age 32, son born Apr. 17, 1908 in South Dakota Milton age 30, son born about 1910 in South Dakota Harley age 21, son born Feb. 17, 1918 in Montana Bessie age 27, daughter-in-law Dwight Pulis age 1, grandson (born 1939 in Montana) Information from: Charles Bryce Woodruff Gary Pulis James Alan Sherman Here is a photo of his selective service registration card.
