George William Kenyon (1923 - 2013)

GEORGE W. KENYON, 89, of New Milford, PA passed away on February 10, 2013 
at the home of his daughter, Linda in Montrose, PA.

His loving wife of 41 years was the former Margaret Caroline Livingston,
who predeceased him in 1989, from ALS.

He was born, April 16, 1923, in Hickory, NC, son of the late Floyd and
Marguerite Kenyon.

He grew up on the family farm on Kenyon Hill in Deposit, NY. He served in
the Army Air Corp from 1942-1945 and was in the Burma/India/China Theater.

He was self employed as a piano tuner for 57 years. 

George was a member of the New Milford Rifle and Pistol Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reloading ammo, and playing cards.

Surviving are his four daughters:

Meg (Leo) Sargent, Sayre, PA; 
Linda (Jim) Wellman, Montrose, PA; 
Audrey Carr, Hallstead, PA; and 
Sue (Tony) Harvatine, Union Dale, PA; 
a sister, Sara Otto, Minnapolis, MN; 
 9 grandchildren;
17 great grandchildren; 
 3 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

George was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Albert Carr in Dec. 2012;
2 sisters, Mary and Pat; and 3 brothers, Floyd Jr., Charles, and Nicholas.

The family wishes to extend special appreciation to Hospice of the 
Sacred Heart for their kindness and support throughout his battle 
with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2013 at
the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA with Pastor Carl Silfee.

Friends may call from 1-3 p.m., prior to the service.  Spring inurnment will
be made in Lakeview Cemetery.

Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a
donation to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 207 Locust Street, Montrose, PA
18801.
