Raymond Fern Livingston of Harpursville
Raymond Fern Livingston, 75, of Chaffee St., went to be with his Lord
and Savior November 11, 1999 at Wilson Hospital after a long illness.
He was predeceased by his parents, Fern and Beatrice (Cheeseman) Livingston,
and brother, Rensselear Livingston. He is survived by his wife of 54 years,
Deloris (Flint) Livingston; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Wayne and
Bonnie Livingston, Terry and Ellen Livingston, Shawn Fern Livingston and
friend Mary Lee; one daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Charles Dayton;
beloved grandfather to Gina, Brent and Andrea, Luke and Jennifer, Jason,
Shane, Alisha, Clayton, and Raymond; great-grandfather to Hillary, Shelby,
and Matthew; three sisters, Lucille Hurlburt, Norma Seymour, and Jane
Sawyer; two brothers-in-law, Thomas Sawyer and John Healey; three sisters-
in-law, Thelma Barnhart, Mavis Flint, and Anne Livingston; a special uncle
to his nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Ray and his father Fern operated a dairy farm for many years. Ray served
the community with his hard work, honesty and fairness for over 50 years.
He was the manager of Cole Park, Town Justice, Town Councilman, Town
Assessor, member of the School Board, as well as many other activities.
He was a member of the Harpursville Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 am from the Wm. R. Chase
and Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, with his nephew
Rev. Michael C. Rowe, pastor of the Harpursville Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Harpursville. Friends may call at
the funeral home Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. Those wishing may make memorial
