"Aged Couple and Grand-daughter Honored by Host of Friends"

AFTON, Dec. 25 (1934) - A triple surprise birthday party was given
here recently in honor of Mr. and Mrs. O.M. Pulis and their grand-
daughter, Marjorie Morley.

  Mr. Pulis in his 80th year and his wife's 75th anniversary were
remembered by a host of relatives, neighbors and friends who
honored them with many gifts.  The evening's entertainment consisted
of games, stunts, music and Christmas carols.  Refreshments were
served later.

  Those present were Miss Ruth Holmes, Sanataria Springs; Martin
Page, Harpursville; Mr. and Mrs. R.S. Morley and family, Tunnel;
Mr. and Mrs. George Austin, Lincoln Harris, Mr. and Mrs. Jerome
Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clark, Afton; Mrs. Sands and [her]
children, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Merritt and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Jerome Estes, Mr. and Mrs. Buman, Mrs. R. Howes and Charles Terry
of Vallonia Springs.
